While each County, State and Country as well as venues have their guidelines or restrictions, there are still several things we are recommending to our guests here at Blame Her Ranch especially for Spring and Summer gatherings: MASKS AT ALL TIMES.

We are requiring guests, vendors and the wedding party to wear masks at all times. Make sure they’re 2 to 3 ply. We even have BHR masks available for couples. While this is a pain, you can have a little fun with it and have guests be creative in designing their wedding masks.

EXCLUSIVELY OUTSIDE.

While not all venues can offer this, we at Blame Her Ranch are insisting that couples use three of our four venues that are either outside or where barn doors can be opened for increased air circulation.

SOCIAL DISTANCING.

Set up your tables and seating so that people are sitting six feet apart. And, keep family units together wherever possible.

VACCINES.

Here in New Mexico, our vaccine process is going extremely well with some Counties vaccinating over 30% of the population and climbing. Urge all guests to register for vaccine administration where it is available. While supply and demand will continue to be an issue throughout 2021, you must insist guests take the vaccine (assuming it is available and if they can) or don’t have them attend. Yes, harsh, but safety first!

TESTING.

Here in the United States testing is becoming much easier. There are several rapid tests you can research in your area that will provide results in 15 minutes and in the privacy of your home. Again, we would strongly recommend testing all guests right before your actual wedding event (the day before or the actual day of the event). This should give you and your guests greater peace of mind. Obviously, anyone testing positive, must not attend.

QUARANTINING.

This is a hard one as you are asking people to stay home anywhere from 7 to 10 days prior to your event. But, it is yet another safety measure worth suggesting if you want your wedding to be as safe as possible in 2021.

NUMBERS.

This may be the hardest thing to do. Look at your guest list and try to eliminate (as hard as it may be) those people who are not “AS” critical to your wedding. You can even set up Zoom virtual arrangements that will allow people to stay home but still enjoy your wedding virtually. This can be done in a fun and interactive way! As we stated in the beginning, each wedding, each location and each government has its regulatory recommendations. Some are mandatory. But, hopefully, these seven suggestions will help you discuss your approach with the appropriate people and safeguard your guests!

However, from the latest government announcements, couples will be able to have a free-restriction wedding from the 21st of June... As it currently stands, the government guidelines for weddings are different throughout the UK...

ENGLAND Until the 12th of April, weddings are

allowed only under exceptional circumstances. From the 12th of April, weddings will resume with a max of 15 attendees and 30 from May 17th.

WALES Weddings can take place only in approved venues. The maximum number of attendees is regulated by the venue’s capacity. There must be social distancing between all households and social bubbles.

HOW WE DID IT!

NORTHERN IRELAND Up to twenty-five

people can attend wedding ceremonies in Northern Ireland. Although, with fifteen people or more a risk assessment is required. Face masks must be worn at all time.

WAS IT DIFFICULT TO PLAN A WEDDING DURING THE PANDEMIC? More or less, mostly due to government restrictions. We decided to have a small and simple ceremony. We didn’t invite too many people, just my partner’s brother and his wife to be our witnesses. I also asked a friend to help us with the photographs, that’s it! After the pandemic, we are thinking to hold an official wedding party, probably we will invite more friends and relatives at that time. WHERE DID YOU HAVE YOUR WEDDING? At the Tower Hamlet Register Office, in East London.

SCOTLAND Only five people are allowed at

WHAT WILL WEDDINGS LOOK LIKE NOW?

WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO MARRY IN 2020? When we think back to 2020, we wanted to have good memories to remember it by and we decided to celebrate our love. Spending several months under lockdown together, staying in the same house for 24 hours a day, we realised that we wanted to live with each other for the rest of our lives. The wedding industry has been one of the hardest hit by the pandemic. Social gatherings have been limited since March 2020 and around half a million weddings have been postponed. On the 22nd of February, the UK government began the process of gradually reopening the country, starting with schools. Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced that by June 21st 2021 people will be able to attend restriction-free weddings, and that gives us hope. Although, the real turnaround is the Covid-19 vaccines being rolled out and the possibility of quicker testing services-even from the comfort of your own home.

WHAT DID YOU LIKE ABOUT HAVING A SMALL WEDDING? Only our close family attended the wedding, so we didn’t have the pressure to organise a perfect wedding or throw a big party-we simply did things our way. No fancy suits and wedding dress, my partner wore a vintage suit, and I wore a simple white dress. We didn’t even hire a professional photographer, we asked a friend to help us. I think that’s exactly the wedding day I expected, no pressure trying to be ‘perfect’ in front of everyone. WHICH WERE THE TOP POSITIVE NOTES ? It’s a good chance to help you simplify your wedding. Having your friends and family there to witness your big moment definitely feels great but it’s also good to make this just about the two of you, without cumbersome procedures, worries whether guests enjoy the party, or if the weather is good…Just another day, but knowing that something is going to be different. It’s a fact, weddings as we know them, with long guest lists, will not be possible for a while, but we can also start seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Keep the conversation going with the companies you’ve selected. If you have a planner, talk to them about adapting your wedding to the latest government guidelines. Make sure your venue can accommodate the number of guests without breaching the safety protocol and social distancing rules.

PPE INVENTORY

Check and double-check that you have all the PPE for you and your guests. Safety comes first so provide personal masks, hand sanitisers, gloves, and any other protective equipment for your guests.

Getting all participants tested on the day of your wedding might be a solution to keep everyone safe. There is talk that this might become the norm for weddings, but in the meantime, if you’re planning a wedding, start searching for the best testing services and offer these options to your guests.

Planning a wedding is not all sunshine and rainbows. Make sure all your wedding suppliers are on track and can still commit to what you had previously discussed. And most importantly, check that the venue and vendors have contracts that allow for reasonable cancellation, disruption or postponement due to Covid-19.

We started from the concept of Art Nouveau to create the mood for our wedding shoot on Lake Como. We wanted to create an atmosphere where modernity was at one with nature. The materials and the fabrics are a reminder of the artistic period. The floral patterns, chiffon, metal and ceramic components recall perfectly the ambience of the Art Nouveau. The idea is an autumn wedding on Lake Como-a very elegant destination for a luxury wedding in Italy. We selected Villa Lario Resort, located near the town of Varenna, as the setting for this shoot because it showcases elegance and contemporary design. And these elements are consistent with the venue’s blooming garden and natural grottos, as well as, with the evocative aura of the lake. Tied the knot on the gorgeous island of Santorini…

e chose Santorini for our wedding because it’s our favourite place. We love Greece in general but Santorini is extra special. The people are so lovely and the vibe is gorgeous! We had our ceremony and reception in the same venue, which was important for us as we didn’t want to travel from one place to another. When we saw it online, it looked absolutely beautiful, but it was even more amazing in person. After viewing it with our wedding planner, we knew that it was exactly what we wanted. My husband and I wanted to get married in Imerovigli, because of the stunning views and great location next to several hotels. We booked our hotel first in Kamari, and most of the guests stayed with us there. Others booked hotels along the strip, and this was perfect because it allowed us to meet up every night! It was so special for us to have everyone we loved close by, we felt like our wedding lasted the whole week. Everyone was so cheerful and vibrant through it all. For our décor, I knew I wanted a colour palette that would stand out against the white buildings of Santorini. My bridesmaids were the source of my inspiration. They’re each so different and fun and I wanted something that reflected that, so that’s where all the colours came from. Our wedding planner Maria, decorated our white venue with an incredible flower arch. Each table was decorated with gorgeous gold charger plates, beautiful flowers and candles with colours that complemented the arch. It was absolutely perfect.

s a destination hair and makeup artist, many of my clients’ weddings have been in Italy and I’ve worked on some wonderful shoots on Lake Como. In this area, the atmosphere is magical and the scenery is breathtaking, and I knew it would be the perfect location for my intimate wedding. For our venue, I didn’t have any doubts. I instantly fell in love with Villa Lario. Overlooking Lake Como, the Villa ticked all the boxes for our small celebration. The enchanting sunsets of Lake Como influenced our colour palette and we enhanced the beauty of the backdrop with our decor choices. Villa Lario is so utterly beautiful in its design and interior that we didn’t feel the need to detract the eye by over decorating. All we wanted were some florals and candles. I contacted my dear friend, an amazing florist with whom I had worked with previously in Italy. I sent her some images of what I loved. She created the most beautiful whimsical floral arrangements, and a stunning bouquet by incorporating foliage from the region and my favourite flowers. Working in the wedding industry myself, I am fully aware of how costs can mount up. We set ourselves a budget and pretty much stuck to it by prioritising what was important to us. We handpicked wedding suppliers: the perfect venue, a private vintage boat to transport our guests to the Villa, the wedding menu and Italian wines. For my wedding gown, I trusted Catherine Blades Couture. I had the honour to work with Catherine Blades on a shoot a few years ago. Her creations are amazing, beautifully designed and bespoke. I had a pretty good idea of the style I wanted. With Catherine’s expert recommendations the dress was more than I had ever wished for. The style of my dress and the location inspired my hair and makeup look: easy, romantic, soft and classic. Luckily, we didn’t have any real challenges whilst organising our wedding. As I’ve mentioned before, I know the area well and I had the most wonderful wedding suppliers, by my side to help me through the planning process.

e live in Germany and have always dreamt of a wedding amidst nature, with breathtaking views. Denmark was the ideal choice for us. It is a destination where it is extremely easy to process all documents without any delays. We had heard about the island of Bornholm before, about its unusual nature, and it captured our attention. The choice fell on this island, although in Denmark there are about 400 of them. For the planning of our big day, we trusted our wedding organizers completely, who offered us an incredible place for the wedding ceremony - the ruins of an ancient castle towering over the Baltic Sea. We wanted our wedding to be eco-friendly and we decided to exclude decorations. We thought that the incredible nature around us was enough to make our wedding outstanding. There were only four of us, and the most special moment was when we said “I Do” to each other. In the evening, we celebrated with a laid-back barbecue dinner at our holiday home, because we wanted to enjoy this occasion intimately. We stayed with our guests at a fantastic holiday house, which is a very popular option in Denmark. It was included in the package. We picked a local wedding planner and trusted them with everything. Nordic Adventure Weddings offer great packages and they are affordable. We selected an allinclusive “Island Escape package” – we think the best way to save money is to choose all-inclusive packages, especially for intimate elopements. The challenges we had were the pandemic and travel restrictions. We had to change our initial wedding date but everything was possible with the support of our planners.

t was always my dream to have an outdoor wedding with rolling hills as far as the eye can see and Tuscan Ridge offered this and more. I love the freedom of the Tennessee countryside and the rustic feel of the location. The privately gated ranch boasts 200 acres of peaceful bliss, lush green pastures, and all the beauty that nature has to offer. My event planner Mia Lopez immediately shifted gears and created an indoor-outdoor ceremony that was breathtaking. She was able to bring nature indoors and still maintain the vibrant and elegant theme I wanted. The crystal chandeliers and imported hydrangeas from Columbia made my ceremony a dream come true. The cake and reception tables burst with colourful Dutch, Ecuadorian, and Columbian stems celebrating the wonderful colours of my vibrant heritage. Christian and I have very outgoing personalities and we wanted to reflect that on our special day. Being Latina, my life has always been filled with lively colours, from the cultural dishes of my native country to the traditional clothing of my ancestors. I wanted to honour our traditions and express them through the décor. I always kept my budget in mind. Covid restrictions required that we change our original wedding plans. We did not want to reschedule our wedding. I spoke with my event planner and we ultimately revised our original plans to have a big outdoor wedding and created a magical intimate space for our immediate family and close friends. My gown was purchased from Eleven Bridal Curvy Couture, designed by Mori Lee. My bridesmaid wore a gown from Gloria’s Bridal and Formal and the groom and best man’s tuxedos were designed by Eaden Myles. I believe that hiring a makeup artist and hairstylist is so important. I am so grateful to Rosario Gonzalez of Rosario Beauty Looks for taking such great care of me and my bridal party. I’ve always loved glamorous looks with soft curls framing the face. Rosario was able to provide the classic hairstyle for me with small rosebuds to accent the timeless look. I highly recommend getting a planner to guide you. The most important advice I can give is to not wait until the last minute to get everything done and find an amazing photographer and videographer. For diving fanatics, Dive Bahrain is another exciting daytime activity. It’s the world’s largest underwater theme park that contains colourful reefs and a submerged Boeing 747.

No trip to Bahrain is complete without a tour of the Formula 1 Racetrack that put the Middle East on the map for the motorsport industry. In 2011, the first Grand Prix was held here and German driver, Michael Schumacher, won the race for Ferrari. Whilst Bahrain’s independence only spans five decades, its ancient Dilmun civilisation dates back 4,000 years. The Kingdom of Bahrain was the first country to allow COVID-19 vaccine appointments via a mobile app (the BeAware Bahrain app). As of now, Bahrain has the second-highest vaccination rate in the world after Israel, with a reported rate of 3.49 vaccination doses per 100 individuals. If you are eligible to travel, you will be required to undergo and pay for the enhanced arrivals testing procedure for COVID-19 and need to self-quarantine until test results have been received.

Here is what we tell our guests looking for activities here and around Santa Fe and Blame Her Ranch: Historic Santa Fe Plaza. Visit the hundreds of shops and world-renowned restaurants to enjoy. Galleries and Museums. Santa Fe offers over 200 galleries and museums with world-renown artists from O’Keeffe and Remington. Fly Fishing. Within a half-hour drive from the ranch, there is champion fly fishing directly on the Pecos River. Even beginners can pull an 18-inch rainbow trout out of these friendly waters. Opera. Santa Fe’s outdoor opera house is known throughout the Country for its summer night operas and fun tailgate parties. Snow Skiing. While most of our weddings are in the Spring and Summer, the town of Santa Fe offers skiing that is both convenient and lots of fun. Hot Air Ballooning. Birding. With the right guide, bird watching both at our ranch and throughout the Santa Fe National Forest is a surprising and educational activity. Wilderness Adventures. 4x4 excursions for groups of six to eight through the many trails within the Santa Fe National Forest. Mountain Biking. We offer both mountain and electric bike excursions throughout the ranch and adjacent acres. Spa day. There are several world-renowned spas in Santa Fe, but for a personal touch, have private massage therapists come to the ranch and take advantage of our cauldron hot tub, dry sauna, and a lap pool for couples or groups. Horseback riding. You better have horses if you own a ranch. Local ranchers help us offer group rides on the ranch and beyond. Skeet shooting. Shotguns and weddings are not known to be a great combination, but those staying at the ranch can obtain professional services that help even the novice shooter succeed. “We just ask that you don’t shoot skeet on the day of the wedding. Remember, it’s not a shotgun wedding!”

River Rafting. Take the whole family, wedding party or selected guests on a four-hour rafting trip down the Rio Grande River.

Elisabetta Chichellero, the owner of Najma Prosecco, took this time to improve the company’s online presence and they have made progress in the e-commerce of their delicious products. Once you have a wonderful product in hand, it takes a bit of strategy to make the most of it. E-commerce has been a critical way for Elisabetta to continue communicating with clients, and it’s initiated many new opportunities online. In absence of significant events and fairs where to showcase their products, the company has dedicated particular attention to their social media presence, as well as, a strong presence on national and international platforms. Being interactive digitally is a great way to catch the attention of possible clients. When it’s not possible to visit the vineyards in person, there are other ways to take a tour. Najma Prosecco during the national lockdown in Italy organised digital tastings with experts and importers from Europe, the United States and Asia. This turned out to be a great way to introduce the Prosecco to a new clientele from all over the world, forming a new, solid network.
